The 36th Liberal Singing Festival: Storm at sea! Mutiny at the VUB!

Like true pirates, we will storm the cabin this year and take over the helm of our own VUB. Our alma mater educates us to be critical thinkers who analyze the world around them. She is a bastion of liberalism and a figurehead for humanism, and we will always be grateful to her for that. But that does not make us blind or deaf to her mistakes! The VUB is not exempt from the same gaze that she teaches. So this year we will fill our plunder cans with highly flammable critical spice and we will sharpen our boarding sabers on the objection whetstone.

Hoist the sails, because if necessary, we will tack ourselves! We proudly present the title of this edition: Storm at Sea! Mutiny at the VUB!

Grab your compass and set a course for Aula Q! Lubricate your throat with plundered rum, put your best (wooden) foot forward, and start rowing training! We expect all our buddies armed to the teeth on board for our melodious mutiny. It promises to be an atmospheric evening where everyone will find their inner pirate. Because just like a real pirate ship, Aula Q creaks and shakes and you cannot escape the musty smell.

♫ PRACTICAL INFORMATION ♫ On Thursday 7 December we will open the doors of auditorium Q at 6:30 PM, the Singing Festival starts at 7 PM.

A shuttle bus to and from Jette is provided, practical information about this will follow!

Tickets cost 3 euros and are sold at the door. It is also possible to order in a group by sending an email to bsggtgv@vub.be, at the same price.

We will of course be accompanied throughout the evening by some grand masters of musicality, special acts will be announced later.

During the Singing Festival you will be provided with drinks and snacks, more information after the draw!
